Amazing Value Jun 13, 2009
By Ville Koskela I've purchased two sets of these now so I can get the entire car off the ground. For $34 you just can't do any better. The construction of the jacks is solid and the lift range (up to 17") is unbeatable at this price. The only two things I would watch out for are:
1) The black paint tends to chip off as the jack is moved through the stand and "clicks" against the lock. I imagine as the paint comes off the jacks will be more prone to rust, so just keep them dry.
2) The edges at the bottom of the stand are somewhat sharp which means the pressure from the car is concentrated in a smaller area. If you're working with a heavy car on softer ground (eg. asphalt) you may leave an imprint. I would recommend placing the jack stand on a solid surface such as a piece of plywood to prevent any damage to your driveway.
Overall, great product, Amazon price, and as always free shipping!

Good, Inexpensive, Beware of Narrow Top Aug 17, 2010
By Steve As others have said, this seems like a good, durable, inexpensive set of jack stands.
The only thing I would note is the very top of the jackstand. I've used others that have more of a flat top, which I prefer. These stands have a notch that fits the rim on the bottom of your car where most people place jackstands during use. If that sounds confusing, just look under your car, or in your car's owner's manual for directions on where to place jackstands. You'll see what I'm referring to.
What I dislike with this product, however, is not the notch itself, but the way the rest of the top angles up and away from the notch, like a big "V". On my car, this is a problem. Because of the sharp angle of the top of this jack, it hits a cross bar before the rim of my car is fully seated in the notch of the jack. As a result, I have to place the jack a little more towards the middle of the car than I would like. Not a big deal, but if the jack had a more flat top, this wouldn't be a problem.

How can I rate my purchase of TWO when I can only get ONE? Mar 31, 2010
By William T. Houston
"xfilefan"
This is the SECOND time I have been OFFERED this product via e-mail, and the first time I was sent one set, and then later told there would be no more. That item was returned. Then I received ANOTHER e-mail and I attempted to order another two sets. Guess what.....only ONE was available. ONE SET does me no good. I'll buy the product elsewhere since I can no longer depend on Amazon's service. I used to be a loyal and frequent buyer....now I am just a "sometimes" buyer...for obvious reasons.
